Web Rule ASP.NET Server Control

Web Rule is an ASP.NET server control that allows creation, modification, validation and execution of complex business rules. Using its web interface, business users can create rules by selecting options from a series of context-sensitive drop-down menus. This IntelliSense-like approach is unique for web-based business rule management. With Web Rule integrated into your web project, it requires no knowledge of programming languages to author the most complex business rules.

For complex rules, Web Rule employs parentheses to prioritize evaluation of equations. Anyone who understands the difference between (A + B) x C and A + (B x C) can now create business rules. No "priorities" or "saliences".

Contrary to most traditional business rule management systems that come as independently installed processes, Web Rule was designed to be an internal part of your new or existing ASP.NET web application, at least the "rule authoring" part of it. Right out of the box, Web Rule supports classic post-back and ASP.NET update panel and can even be used as pure JavaScript object. It supports all major browsers on all major platforms.

Implemented as a single self-contained .NET assembly less than 500Kb in size, Web Rule requires no GAC installations, no background processes, no dependency on third-party scripting frameworks and no need to give a special write access to folders. Web Rule runs fine even on bare-bones shared hosting accounts. It takes only minutes to include this server control into your ASP.NET project and begin authoring rules.
