Fast Open for Office is a Microsoft Office add-in that saves time and frustration when looking for and opening Office documents on a network or on a computer with documents saved in many locations.
Fast Open for Office offers a simple way to arrange and list file shortcuts, giving fast access to files from within the Office home tab in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
This add-in allows users to create their own names for grouping and accessing files that are stored in various locations. It makes it easy to bring together common file topics and place them under one umbrella for fast retrieval. As users are working from within an Office program, the only file shortcuts displayed are those from that office program. So there are fewer files to sort through, and no need to search by file type.
Fast Open for Office is flexible and easy to use, allowing users to add, edit and remove both file and folder shortcuts. The software also features backup and restore functions in both xml and csv formats.
Fast Open for Office provides compatibility across Microsoft Office versions 2007, 2010 and Office 365 and installs onto Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. As an Office com add-in, the application can be managed from within the office add-ins menu and comes with a 30 day trial period for evaluation.
