RealReturns shows the effect of timing on investments. RealReturns will tell you what timing based rate of return your investments would have had to earn in a savings account to achieve the same results.
Using the rates of return determined by RealReturns, what-if scenarios can be generated to see what your investments will be worth if they continue to perform at the same rate.
The reports available provide you with a snapshot of your investments including the beginning and ending values, interim investment transactions and rates of return, and they also show how the rates have been determined. You can verify that the results are accurate and that the data input was correct.
RealReturns will calculate returns for many investments (401(k)), holdings within investments (your 401(k)'s EBAY holding) and for an entire portfolio (your 401(k), your spouse's 401(k), IRA, etc.) With this feature, you can add all of your investments and RealReturns will determine the rate of return for them as a whole, individually and for each security within each investment.
