Peter Jackson's King Kong Download

Downloading Peter Jackson's King Kong 1.0

If you've seen the movie, you will not be disappointed with this game that tells the story and captures all the tension and the entertainment of the film.
First-person action sequences blends with third-person components, in your trip through the Skull Island (almost all of the game action take place there) you are both, Jack Driscoll and King Kong.
Very nice movie trailers explains what happens in the movie as long as the game goes by. The game itself begins when the ship reaches the island surrounded by a heavy fog. Many things happens before you even pick up a weapon. You, Ann, Carl and other sailors jump into a bout to traverse turbulent waters to reach the seashore.
A particular trait of the game is the fact that there isn't anything on the screen, nothing but the enemies and scenery in front of you. There's no heads-up display of any kind. A blinking screen effect serves as a warning when you're injured. Ammunition is kept track of via verbal messages from Jack. Every time you reload, he says out if he's got enough ammo.
You can only hold one gun at a time, though you can take any weapons, like bones and spears that have been left lying about, after you throw your gun of course. A seaplane flies around the island, dropping crates full of guns. Be careful with the ammo, isn't unlimited, you also only get a certain amount of ammo per gun, and once you're dry, you must take another weapon. It is not so hard to hit your targets, just aim in the direction of an enemy and that's all.

The variety of monsters you'll encounter are incredible. Big dinosaurs (some of them you can't kill), giant scorpions, and bats that look like gargoyles. They're ferocious and pretty smart, too. The tension increase when you are pursued by a T-Rex, growling like in the infamous scene in the Jurassic Park movie.

The game also has puzzle elements. You must put some stuff in place to clear your path, nothing complex. A good mechanism to avoid get lost, is just follow the sailors that seems to know where they're going.
Only in a small portion of the game you can play as King Kong, but is incredible and very fun. During the Kong sections, the camera switches to a higher view, showing Kong as big as you can imagine, you feel enormous, swinging through the jungle and defeating ferocious creatures like T-Rexes, natives and giant bats with punch and grabs, simple but very effective entertaining method. There are also times where you'll have Ann firmly tucked in hand, and you'll get to use her in puzzle sections. By letting her loose on certain platforms, she can throw flaming spears at things that would otherwise block your path. Every part of the story moves at so furious pace that the ending itself comes to faster.
King Kong is available on the PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox, Xbox 360, PC, DS, and Game Boy.

All the graphics are very improved, except for the people (they don't open their mouths to speak), the island is so dark and the creatures so realistic that you'll be delighted to look at all these details. Sound effects, and music deserves the best praises, not to mention the voice acting. The voice work from the film cast, as well as the remaining actors, is excellent. The sounds of the beasts are awesome, you can hear some great background effects.
