The program has been designed as universal product for surveillance cross platforms functioning all together with wireless and wired Internet cameras, TV-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the similar form and functionality on the local and apart computers. Users view MPEG coded video and have complete management of the program via net that surveillance station can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular configuration significantly increases reliability because all units operate as autonomous applications. If one unit fails, other components go on running. For example if the `capture` unit stops working, `watchdog` starts again it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` unit. The software does `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be constant or it can be initiated by movement, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on distant workstation via Web interface. The software does synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple cameras concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
