Users see MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete control of the software through network that security workstation can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular configuration drastically increases reliability because all units proceed as independent applications. If one unit stops working, other components continue working. For example if the `record` unit freezes, `watchdog` starts over it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` unit. The software makes `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be constant or it can be triggered by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on apart station using Web interface. The program performs synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple webcams concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
