Your webcam / cameras can be used as surveillance system. While the software detects activity in the monitored spot, it sounds alarm, sends you captured shots, initiates webcasting, or records video. Online streaming as well as recording can be password protected that all video and audio are scrambled and cannot be watched without valid secret word. The software has features to show image overlays and date/time stamps, modify image size / quality, and Pan/Tilt/Zoom control.
