The program has been created as general software for security cross platforms working simultaneously with wireless and wired IP webcams, TV-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same look and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Customers view MPEG-4 coded picture and have complete control of the software through network that security workstation can be operated without screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular configuration significantly improves reliability because all modules operate as independent programs. If one part fails, other modules keep on working. For example if the `record` module fails, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video using a `playback` module. The program does `repeated` recording that the `disk full` situation never happens. The recording can be non-stop or it can be initiated by motion, human face detection, or by timetable. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on distant computer through Web interface. The program makes simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple cameras concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
