The program has been created as common program for surveillance hybrid platforms running at the same time with wireless and wired IP cameras, TV-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same appearance and controls on the local and apart workstations. Users see MPEG coded video and have complete control of the program via network that security station can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular composition significantly improves reliability because all parts operate as autonomous software. If one component fails, other components go on working. For example if the `record` module stops working, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` component. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be turned on by activity, human face recognition, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance station as well as on distant server through Web interface. The software does simultaneous video playback for event examination from multiple cameras at the same time. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
