FlashBack is designed to be the simplest way to back up a flash / USB drive. Just one double-click and a copy of the drive is zipped up onto your desktop - files and folders included. This ensures that if the drive is subsequently lost or damaged, there are recent copies of the files to revert to. FlashBack's ease of use means it's easy to keep an up-to-date back-up of your flash / USB drive.

FlashBack is so easy to use it doesn't even have an installation program, it's just one file! There is no need to install it anywhere, it can instantly be used on any computer. Just place it in the flash / USB drive and double-click it whenever you want to refresh your backup. It also has a pleasant picture of a beach instead of the usual boring grey screen!

So why back up a flash drive anyway? The answer is if it is used to actually STORE files rather than just to transfer them. For instance, a timesheet and work notes may be kept on a flash drive, constantly updated with important information. Working between different computers on different networks, some of which are not connected to the internet, the use of a flash drive may well be the most convenient way to always have access to these files. FlashBack overcomes the risk of file loss due to flash drive loss or damage.

Flash drives can easily be misplaced, or damaged (snapped off while sticking out of the side of the computer), and as such although convenient, are dangerous places to keep files. With FlashBack, a simple double-click, possibly about once a day, ensures the safety of the information in the flash drive files.

The trial version only backs up .doc, .xls, .pdf, .jpg, .gif, .png, .zip, .txt. The full version backs up any file.
