This tool does not make your computer or OS faster. You can set CPU quotas to applications and services with Fasterwin. So your PC, laptop or windows server will always be responsive, and no single program could utilize all CPU resources. So if you've ever experienced your computer becomes unresponsive or hangs while some application like Outlook or some Windows service is consuming 100% of CPU resources, this tool will help! It is pretty annoying to wait for indefinite time (seconds, some times even minutes) while your Quad Core Extreme CPU is busy doing you-don't-know-what. Buying faster hardware won't help while there are applications that could
misbehave. Windows OS does not have a built-in tool for setting CPU quotas for applications, that's why we developed fasterwin and use it daily on our computers.
There is a similar tool called ThreadMaster, that is also freeware. It is more mature and feature complete, but it lacks GUI. We also will sell Fasterwin Pro that has some extra features that could be useful for system administrators and power users.
