With France firmly in German hands by late 1940, Adolf Hitler could afford to turn his attention eastward, toward the Balkans. By April 27, 1941, Athens fell to advancing German troops, ending a one month offensive from Czechoslovakia to Greece that gave Hitler control over all of the Balkans. Still, Hitler was not satisfied. His real conflict, as he had always stated, was with the Soviet Union and its socialism. On June 22, 1941, Hitler attempted to realize his goal of dominion over all Russia when he invaded the Soviet Union in Operation Barbrossa.

As the German army advanced deep into Soviet territory, Einsatzgruppen (mobile killing units) followed the troops and implemented mass-murder operations.

Red Army soldiers and officers did their best to protect their Motherland from the Nazy invasion, and many of them paid their lifes in their attempt to stop Germans.

You, a Red Army tank commander, have to fullfill missions protecting your country from the Nazy murders and stop the invasion. After graduating from the Tank Academy, you receive an order to clear a small Russian village from the enemy forces. In the next mission you have to find and destroy the enemy headquarters located to the north of your current position, destroying all German units you'll meet on your way. After that, you will have to penetrate into the Nazy fortified area and destroy the enemy staff officer on a Horch vehicle...
