The program has been created as general product for security cross platforms working concurrently with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the identical look and controls on the local and distant computers. Users see MPEG coded picture and have complete control of the software through network that security workstation can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular configuration significantly improves reliability because all parts work as autonomous applications. If one component freezes, other components continue running. For instance if the `capture` part freezes, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` module. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be non-stop or it can be turned on by motion, human face detection, or by timetable. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on distant pc through Web interface. The software makes synchronized video playback for event examination from many cameras concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
