The software has been designed as general application for surveillance hybrid platforms working concurrently with wireless and wired IP cameras, TV-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same form and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Users watch MPEG coded video and have complete control of the program via net that security workstation can be run with no screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular configuration considerably increases reliability because all units act as independent programs. If one component freezes, other parts keep on running. For example if the `record` unit fails, `watchdog` starts again it immediately that viewers don`t notice anything because they are viewing video using a `playback` component. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance server as well as on distant workstation via Web interface. The program performs synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple webcams at the same time. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
