The software has been designed as common product for security hybrid platforms working at the same time with wireless and wired IP cameras, Television-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the similar look and functionality on the local and apart computers. Users watch MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the software through network that surveillance workstation can be operated with no screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular configuration extensively increases reliability because all modules work as autonomous software. If one component stops working, other modules keep on running. For instance if the `capture` part freezes, `watchdog` starts over it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` unit. The software performs `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be activated by motion, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance station as well as on remote pc using Web interface. The program does synchronized video playback for event examination from many cameras concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
