Sometimes we erase or format our photo or video camera memory card, only to discover that we haven't made a backup copy of the media contained in it. It can be very disappointing, not only for us, but for our family and friends too. According to the manufacturer, this program allows you to recover any media file from your fixed or portable devices. It is also very easy to use.

The program will detect automatically all your system memory devices so you can choose the one to recover your files. When you click Next, the program explores the device and finds the deleted media files. The developer claims that it can recognize, restore and save up to 80 different types of media files. You can pause the process anytime and save a record file that will allow you to continue later. Once the process is completed (or if you decide to interrupt it), you see the recoverable files. The program allows you to see a preview of them, so you can decide which of them you want to save.

The program has its drawbacks. I used it to explore my camera memory card and it didn't find anything; then, I used another, free program, and this one found and recovered several files, so it made me doubt about the usefulness of MediaRecovery.
The trial version does not allow you to save the recovered files. To do so, you will need the full version.
