FlashJetScan is a dual-purpose tool designed to allow you to scan your paper documentation, save it as a set of PDF files, and organize them in neatly-structured categories. This free application will assign a unique timestamp to each scanned document for identification purposes. Thus, this will allow you to locate your files within the database by filtering them by category, name, or timestamp.
FlashJetScan will save you the fuss of going through the various software tools usually required to capture, catalog, view, and back up your paper documents. This comprehensive tool will interact with your scanning software to help you capture your documents easily and conveniently. Then, it will store in its built-in database the name and timestamp assigned to them, and will allow you to put it in an existing or in a new category. Finally, FlashJetScan‘s internal PDF viewer will allow you to check the quality of the scanned document without needing to rely on any Adobe product for that.
FlashJetScan can capture and catalog any document, but you also need to be aware of its limitations. There is no limit in the number of new categories that you can add to your database, but they will all be at the same level. The program provides no support for the addition of subcategories or any other tree-like structure, so you are advised to keep your classification requirements as simple as possible.
