Have you ever imagined what it would be like to travel back in time and try to change the course of history? This HOG from FlyWheel Games explores that possibility through one of the most well-known murders in literature. Crime and Punishment - Who Framed Raskolnikov? is a hidden-object adventure game that is based on the popular novel by Dostoevsky. You are a couple of investigators from the G.I.A. (Genius Intelligence Agency) who get a quite complicated task: find out the true reasons behind the famous murder. It is the year 2058 and you with your partner are sent back in time to follow Raskolnikov and see if there is a chance to prevent the murder. You land at the year 1866, a few days before the murder, and start roaming around the streets of St. Petersburg in search of clues and evidence about the murderer. The investigation starts in Raskolnikov's house, where you arrive to collect elements revealing aspects of his personality, his thoughts, and his political ideas.

With a story that gives the original plot a futuristic touch, the game combines hidden-object scenes with a series of puzzles and mini games that you have to solve in order to advance in the story. These scenes represent the locations Raskolnikov visited before the woman was killed. As in most HOGs, after completing a scene or location you will receive an object that can be combined with other items and used to accomplish other tasks. Along the way, you will be interacting with different characters, visiting bars and public buildings, while walking the streets of St. Petersburg collecting more information about a story that becomes more intricate (and overelaborate) as you advance.
