BibleMax Russian Synodal Text Bible Download

Downloading BibleMax Russian Synodal Text Bible 1.0

Russian is a Slavic language spoken mainly in Russia and other former USSR countries. This BibleMax module features a version of the Bible in Russian. Unlike other Russian translations of the Scriptures, this one does not use the Church Slavonic language, which is used in most religious activities in countries where a Slavic language is spoken. The Old Testament translation is based on the Masoretic Jewish text, which is regarded as the most authoritative version of the Tanak or Hebrew Bible. The New Testament is based on the Greek translations available when this version was made (1813-1876). Although this version is used by Orthodox, Protestant and Catholic Churches, this module features only those books considered as Canonical by Protestants and thus, it lacks books such as Maccabees I and II, Tobit, Judith, Ecclesiasticus and more, which are considered non-canonical or apocrypha. Thus, if you expect to have a Russian Orthodox version of the Bible, you may get disappointed.
You will need BibleMax core software to run this module properly. Also, take into account that you will need a font that is compatible with Cyrillic language. You can download both the module and the core program at the developer's site.
