SphereXPlorer Download

Downloading SphereXPlorer 1.4

SphereXPlorer is a browser that will let you see web pages in a 3D fashion. You can load different web pages and manipulate the appearance of their windows by rotating, moving, and bringing them to the front, or by changing their size.

You will have a main screen with an URL toolbar where you can type the addresses of the sites you want to visit. Clicking on the plus sign on the left you will open a new window displaying the visited site; pressing enter, you will replace the content of the current window with the new site.

While displayed as 3D shapes, the pages will show you their content and will react to your inputs normally. You can always tell the program to bring a window to the front if you cannot read something. Then, the chosen window will be displayed in full size.

SphereXPlorer is a nice toy to play with, but little more than that. I cannot figure out which may be the possible benefits of displaying web pages in weird shapes. Some graphics cards will not be able to show you SphereXPlorer’s capabilities unless you choose to use lower graphics detail. If you want to use it in Windows 7, you will need to run it in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP2.
