Explore2fs has been around for a long time now, and it was kept up to date with the latest advances in linux storage.
Current Features of Virtual Volumes:
-Supported by all versions of Windows (Vista is still Work In Progress)
-Read ReiserFS (rfstools)
-Read and Write Win32 filesystems (Win32 API)
-Read FAT12/FAT16/FAT32 without using Win32
-Read and Write software RAID0, RAID1 and RAID5
The interface to Virtual Volumes is not a shell. It is a simple test harness which is developed along with the program to allow new features to be tested.
Many of the commands will be familiar to both unix and windows users. There is however no specific syntax or standard.
