The APS Administrator software package is designed for administration of all APS systems. The Client / Server architecture offers possibilities of multi-user access and usage of extending modules. The server composes of a communication service, an SQL database and a HTTP server (which is necessary only when using web extensions). The client programs are implemented both as windows and web applications. The windows applications (administration program and some of the extending modules) communicate with the server via the TCP/IP protocol. The web applications require only a web browser at the client side (lean client), thereby they can easily become a part of the company intranet. The program solution enables a simple implementation of combined APS 400, APS mini Plus and APS mini systems and their central management. Communication with the HW equipment is realized using serial (COM, USB) or network (TCP/IP) communication lines.
