Safyr4W provides a full control of the MFK1 series of Kappabridges. The main features include measurement of bulk/mass susceptibility and anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS) in variable fields and at three operating frequencies. In addition to a graphical user interface the main functions can be controlled directly from keyboard allowing for a fast operation during routine measurement of extensive sample sets. AMS can be measured using the spinning specimen method (three perpendicular positions) or manual 15-position rotatable design. Bulk/mass susceptibility can be measured as single measurements or in preset variable fields. Graphical user interface enables instant visualization of AMS data as principal directions and quantitative anisotropy parameters. Curves of field dependence of magnetic susceptibility are displayed and field dependence parameters are calculated. Acquired anisotropy data are stored in binary format (*.ran) allowing for easy viewing, editing, and further processing using Anisoft software.
