A Celsius and Fahrenheit recording thermometer for Windows. Typically the sensing probe is a 10 cent diode (ex.1N4148), a 5 cent resistor (ex. 100Kilohms) and a 9 volt battery, but many semiconductors can be used and compensated for in the calibration screen. The typical resolution is about 1/4 deg. celsius. For a resolution of 1/20 deg. celsius use a LM135. See the projects section for assembly details. The recorder button brings up the file selection screen. Directory and file names should be in 8.3 format (nnnnnnnn.mmm) since long file names are not supported by this application. Once a file has been selected or created, new readings, date and time will be added to it in a tab separated format. This file format is compatible with most spreadsheet and database programs. The SM-100 serial number is also displayed, in this case #100.
