WinPDF is a useful free application for converting to Portable Document Format (Adobe PDF) any MS Windows based printable document or image, so they can be shown and distributed on any computer with any Operating System as a digital document. Any file that can be printed out of any MS Windows application can be converted to a PDF document by means of this free program.
The application intalls itself as a virtual new printer as "WinPDF Writer" in all the Windows program able to print to the installed printer(s) of the system. Microsoft Office Word, Excel, FrontPage, or PowerPoint documents, AutoCad drawings, emails, etc. can be converted with a single click by selecting "WinPDF Writer" on the printer dialog and pressing Print. The output PDF document is generated. Output files are directly saved to the user specified path. Up to 2540x2540 dpi printing resolution and custom paper size support (user selection).
The application creates non-editable documents: invoices, proposals, agreements, quotes, etc. as electronic copies of hard-copy prints.
User can save Web pages in PDF format for further reference, convert images or srwings into PDF document formats, make PDF albums, convert Postscript ".PS" files into PDF format, create PDF versions of Visio documents, create e-books, etc.
PDF documents are created from any Windows based application that supports phisical printing on a system installed printer, compatible with Microsoft .NET and MS Office 2007.
User can set document encryption and password protection (48 and 128-bit support) preventing PDF documents from being modified, copied, printed, signed, converted, etc.
