When it was first released in July 1999 Counting Machine was designed to support whole-class interactive teaching with one computer. It is now being used by teachers in over thirty Local Education Authorities and by students in twenty-five teacher-training institutions. Ten Local Education Authorities have purchased an LEA license so that all of their teachers can use Counting Machine to support numeracy teaching.
The latest version of this popular program is designed to be used with an interactive whiteboard - all of its features can be accessed without having to reach for the computer keyboard. Several new features have also been added.
