SmartMove is powered by TextStream 3.0. This product is the work of developers dedicated to making it fast and easy for you to migrate large amounts of data from the web, word processing programs, and other sources into Microsoft Excel®, with the results exactly as you want them. Currently, SmartMove is available for versions of Excel earlier than 2007. We are working on providing it for newer versions and will have updates when they are ready. With user-friendly dialogs, SmartMove helps you define exactly what information you want to move from your data source into a spreadsheet, as well as exactly what you don't want - in one smooth move, without hours of cutting and pasting information back and forth. System Requirements: All you need is at the minimum Excel 2000. SmartMove does not yet work with Excel 2007. SmartMove's "power" is the TextStream software, which is installed automatically when you install SmartMove. Features & Functions: All of the SmartMove functions are located under the Edit menu in Excel. The following five functions are available: Name Definition Dialog Allows you to specify the order of the fields that are in your input data source (a web page, word processing document, etc.) using a simple form to specify order, field names, sequence and case. Selection Definition Dialog Allows you to specify the data you want to extract from your input source. Currently, you can have up to 25 data selections. You can use a checkbox to skip certain fields, allowing you to use one selection form for many projects, without re-entering the definitions each time. You can also specify and change the order of fields, names, start and ending characters (other attributes) of each field, etc. Output Definition Dialog This is where you specify the output order of the fields in your spreadsheet.
