Street Rod 3 is an open source project that aims to re-create the old Street Rod game saga, with enhanced graphics and sound but the same playability and taste of the original ones. It is maintained by an enthusiast growing community who contributes a lot with it and participates actively on his development.
The controls are quite difficult from the first moment, it will take you a while to become more or less comfortable with them. Graphics are simple and mostly lack of textures and shades, so common in current games. Menus are rough but simple to operate.
It seems to have more disadvantages than advantages! Anyway, in a weird way, you will like it, especially if you love "abandonware" games, not even say the Street Rod saga.
