Spartan Dairy 3 is a Windows-based, stand-alone computer program for use in evaluating and formulating diets for dairy cattle. It was designed to formulate reasonable diets in a relatively short period of time using the latest science.

- Several rations and feed libraries can be open at one time
- Feeds can be copied and pasted from one file to another and to and from MS Excel to facilitate updating feed analyses
- Reports can be previewed before printing

- Nutritional adequacy can be viewed in graphical form
