ccToDo is a client application designed to work together with an online ccToDo service which allows you to keep track of all your pending activities and tasks, to get remainders, to send them by e-mail , and more. Cloud Circus, ccToDo's developer, offers you client applications for Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android, and the option to synchronize your to-do lists with all your supported devices through their online service.
The Windows version of the program can work on the system's background and remains active on your system tray area even after closing its main window. To be able to use this program (or even the Web-based interface) you have to sign up to create a user account, for which you will need a valid e-mail address where they can send a confirmation message with your initial password. Finally, you can use that information to log in the application and start using it.
The program's main interface is merely a simple but attractive window where you can see your pending tasks for the present day. However, you can filter them to show the tasks for the next day or for any other day in the past or the future. You can also switch to see the tasks that are still pending or those that have been already done. Besides that, you are also allowed to filter your tasks by any of the fields you filled in when creating them.
You can also create a new task easily, for which you are asked to type the new task's title, the name of the person who is going to execute the task ("Me" by default), the date when the task must be executed (there are shortcuts for "Today" and "Tomorrow", and a calendar view for you to pick up any other day), and some tags and notes. You will see you task listed for the selected day immediately, and you can then execute additional commands on it, such as mark it as "Done", re-date it for any other date, re-assign it to any other person, edit it in full, or just delete it.
All that information is not stored locally, but in the Cloud Circus servers, which gives you extra security and the possibility of synchronizing your data with any other supported device easily. And best of all, the service is free!
