Safe Chat Download

Safe Chat is a program that will let you control who chats with your children through any instant messenger. This program replaces some of the most popular instant messengers, such as Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, ICQ, and AOL Messenger. With this tool, your children will be able to interact with anyone using the IM of their choice, but you will be able to control who is authorized to chat with them, and who is not.

You will be able to see a log of each conversation your kids held, in order to judge which users can be authorized to talk to them safely, or when the talk becomes dangerous. You will be able to restrict chats to certain days and hours; you can allow or deny pictures and file transfers. You can also block access to adult sites or certain chat rooms. As an added feature, every user will be able to stay connected in the four messenger programs using just one tool. Of course, you can connect to each messenger individually, if you want.

Safe Chat offers the same basic functionality that you can find in each one of the replaced messenger tools. You will miss some functions though (nudges, video, phone calls) for the sake of compatibility.
