GIMPShop 2.2 is a version of GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), a very popular open source image editor.
Besides been free, GIMPShop adapts its terminology and menu structure to look and feel more like Adobe´s application.
The Deweirdifyer Plugin has been used to place all the various windows into one containing window, so instead of behaving like various independent little applications, it will act more like an individual program.
This software makes its parameters to fit your needs: transparency, color, texture, thickness, anti aliasing, etc.
Talking about menus and tools, in GIMPShop 2.2, the right side tool bar shows history, layers and channels as much as brush types, texture and gradients; while the left side toolbar shows all the tools for Image editing: paintbrush, pencil, lasso tool, magic wand tool, zoom, move, rotate, scale, type tool, eraser tool, blur/sharpen, etc.
Due to interface changes, many instructive manuals of Photoshop can be used just the same for GIMPshop, and many others can be adapted by GIMPshop users with minimal effort.
