NeGXViewer is basically an image viewer with a searching feature, which includes the functions of an image editor and a slideshow creator. NeGXViewer is functional: all the features are organized in tabs. In the "Browser" Tab you can explore your computer for images exactly as you do in the Windows Explorer, the disk drives are shown in a tree view on the left, and their content is shown on the right.
The main difference between Windows Explorer and NeGXViewer is that with the latter you can search only for image files. You can copy, print, change the image format, scan images, and more. The "Image" Tab includes different image processing features to edit images. Besides, you can add masks over the images to add effects. With the "Search" Tab you can make advanced searches, e.g. by dates, a specific image size, etc. In the "Slideshow" Tab you can create slideshows from your pictures and save the compilation for viewing it later.
The program includes advanced settings to adjust different options. One of the options allows you to associate image extensions so they are opened with NeGXViewer by default. One disadvantage I found is that sometimes the program crashes and shows some messages and options in German.
