ViPNet SafeDisk is a free application that is designed to help us keep our documents/files/folder protected. This program is supplemented with step-by-step instructions so that we find it easy to set up a password, and create a hidden container. The password gives access to this application and to the container. The container is an encrypted place within the computer or external devices for us to store our documents/files/folders. There are three different modes of accessing the container: by entering a password, a password plus a key file, or a password and an external device (USB stick, memory card, etc.). After we have created and connected the container, we can start storing our files. This program encrypts the files "on-the-fly" that we decide to secure, and stores them in a hidden container. This container is invisible for unauthorized people. This program is delivered for free and it does not contain any spyware/adware. We are let to create one file container with a maximum of 100 MB when using the free edition. There is also a registered version that lets us create multiple containers whose size is only limited by capacity of our hard drive/s. We may set to delete the container if in danger. The user interface is available in English, Russian, Spanish, and German.
