FileChecker is a small and powerful software which keeps track of all your system files for changes, tampering or harmful modifications. These modifications and tampering are mainly done by malicious software programs. The software behaves as a watch guard for Anti-Virus program files, Anti-Trojan program files, anti-spyware program files, firewall files, etc to check, if they have become a victim to invalid modifications by malicious programs. The FileChecker gives a notification, if such actions are detected. Moreover, the FileChecker software also has the functionality to log these modification events into the NT event log. Furthermore, it can also run as a Windows service thus providing greater security to its users. FileChecker can be used for SMTP alerts which can send important file change information to any email address configured.
