BabyPDF Download

Downloading BabyPDF 1.0

BabyPDF is a dual-purpose application that allows you to both read PDF documents and add extra information to them. It allows you to add portions of text, images, and even draw and insert simple graphs. The simplicity of the reading interface contrasts with the apparent complexity of its full-featured “editing tool”.

Strictly speaking, however, BabyPDF cannot be considered a PDF editor, in the sense that you cannot change any of the elements already present in the source document. You can add information, including text (both plain text and RTF), images (JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, and TIFF), and simple graphs of various shapes and forms (rectangles, arcs, circles, ellipses, straight lines, etc.). It then allows you to change the position of superimposed elements, bringing them to the front or sending them to the back. These position changes, however, are always measured in relation to the elements you have added to the existing PDF, as whatever text or images were there when you opened it will remain unchanged no matter what.

What BabyPDF can do is to create new PDF documents from scratch – you can start with a clean page and add as many text boxes, images, and graphics as you wish, and save the resulting composition as a new PDF file.

When it comes to reading a PDF file using BabyPDF, the interface provided is much simpler than the average PDF reading tool (not to mention Adobe Reader). The navigation controls available will merely let you move from page to page (or jump to a specific page number) and zoom the active page in and out. The big differences in both appearance and functionality between the reader and the editor will make you wonder if they are actually part of the same application.
